Easy Sew Wool Longies Instructions

I've gotten some requests for my wool longies sewing instructions, so here they are:

Easy sew Wool Longies:

Ok, so out of the one sweater (already super felted)
we cut off the sleeves like so:
to give us two legs. Cut open each sleeve on the seam approximately 8” (this will be your rise) like so:
Next, cut out a small diamond shape (from somewhere extra on the sweater)
You now have three pieces: . You are now ready to sew.

I use a serger, but you can use a regular machine. Turn your sleeves inside out. Place your diamond pointing in towards the cuff of your sleeve. You should have right sides together.

Starting at the corner, sew one side until you reach the next corner. Repeat for the other side. It should look like this:

Next, place the other sleeve directly across from the first. Place your point like you did with the first. MAKE SURE RIGHT SIDES ARE TOGETHER.
You are going to sew each corner and continue on to the top of the sleeve. Repeat for the other side. It will look like this: See how the two sides are sewn together. Turn it right side in, and you are done! You can sew a casing for elastic into the waistband if you want.
